We expect a busier winter this season as the El Nino has faded and a weak La Nina looks to develop. We’re not expecting a mild or strong La Nina and this means winter could possibly be similar to a couple winters ago, with blasts of very cold Arctic air and some decent snowfall. We look to get cold early before slowly warming up to near average for the second half of winter. Overall, snowfall looks to be above normal as well, and we’ll need to be cautious of early season lake effect snowfall. Since the lake is still rather warm, it’s possible the first couple of lake effect snow events could make a significant impact. Of course, you can could on us to keep you updated before lake effect snow hits.
